Individual Volunteers

Please Read Carefully

  • We require that all volunteers register with NWFL

  • All volunteers must pass a background check unless under the age of 18 - please note our under 18 requirements below.

  • Volunteers under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign a consent form; anyone under the age of 16 requires a parent or guardian to work with them. No one under the age of 14 may volunteer unless permission has been granted.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early and plan to participate during the entire shift.

  • Volunteers need to follow the most current public health and safety mandates.

  • For the safety of our staff and other volunteers, please reschedule if you are feeling ill.

  • Please make sure to dress appropriately for your shift, check the local forecast if your work will require you to be outside and make sure to bring appropriate gear.

  • Your work may be physical in nature and includes long periods of standing.

  • If special accommodations are needed for anyone in the group please let us know prior to your volunteer shift so we can best accommodate your needs

  • No foul language, bad behavior, bullying, or theft of property allowed

  • Possession or use of drugs, alcohol or weapons are prohibited.

  • If you need to leave early, prior authorization will be required.

  • If you are running late please let us know at volunteers@nwfolklife.org we may be required to put someone else in your position according to our needs.

  • Volunteers who are under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign a consent form

  • There are no parking passes available for volunteers, please schedule your drive and or mass transit appropriately to make sure you can show up to your shift on time.
