Important Points

We can accommodate groups depending on our needs. Please reach out to us volunteers@nwfolklife.org in order to best find out our ongoing needs

We require that all volunteers register with NWFL even if your company has its own process for tracking and registering employee volunteer activities.

All volunteers must pass a background check.

Please arrive 15 minutes early and plan to participate during the entire shift.

Volunteers need to follow the most current public health and safety mandates.

For the safety of our staff and other volunteers, please reschedule if you are feeling ill.

Please make sure to dress appropriately for your shift, check the local forecast if your work will require you to be outside and make sure to bring appropriate gear.

Your work may be physical in nature and includes long periods of standing.

Volunteers are permitted to take short breaks but we can not accommodate everyone taking a break together

If special accommodations are needed for anyone in the group please let us know prior to your volunteer shift so we can best accommodate your needs

No foul language, bad behavior, bullying, or theft of property allowed

Possession or use of drugs, alcohol or weapons are prohibited.

If you need to leave early, prior authorization will be required.

If you are running late please let us know, volunteers@nwfolklife.org we may be required to put someone else in your position according to our needs.

Volunteers under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign a consent form; anyone under the age of 16 requires a parent or guardian to work with them. No one under the age of 14 may volunteer unless permission has been granted.

There are no parking passes available for volunteers, please schedule your drive and or mass transit appropriately to make sure you can show up to your shift on time
