Otter & Penguin Makerspaces, aspires to develop shared spaces and resources in support of the arts, in an environment of inclusivity. We envision a shared-use shop, studio space, and educational environment supplied with professional-grade equipment and unrivaled facilities to build and store projects; mobilized art programs bringing arts to communities who do not have access within their neighborhoods.

As part of Otter & Penguin's work to solve access to underrepresented communities who do not traditionally have access to arts and arts education, we will launch Art Migration. This bus-based studio program began from past projects that use temporarily placed shipping containers. With this mobile setup, we will access neighborhoods which might not have the open space resources. By working with the local neighborhoods and city permitting offices we plan to move the bus to different neighborhoods throughout the year. The bus will remain in each neighborhood for several weeks offering free or low-cost art classes where students will gain enough materials and knowledge to continue the art form.

We encourage audience members to donate directly to artists, or organizations of the artist's choosing. Please direct donations for Visually Speaking to their donation page.
