Klezmer Music & Yiddish Song 101 & Remembrance Gathering with Harvey Niebulski & Marianne Tatom ^

Join us as we gather as friends and family to remember those who are no longer with us. In their memory, we will sing songs, play music, and share stories.

Marianne Tatom, clarinetist and Yiddish teacher, and Harvey Niebulski, accordionist, play klezmer and Eastern European music and sing in Yiddish (a living Jewish language written in Hebrew characters originating in Eastern Europe). Together we’ve played numerous concerts, festivals, sing-alongs and participatory Israeli dances. We've led klezmer workshops and especially enjoy singing and teaching songs in Yiddish (with lyrics offered both in transliteration and translation) while welcoming queries from our audiences and offering opportunities for discussion as we together learn about their Jewish cultural context.
