Total Experience Gospel Choir Bio:
Pastor Patrinell "Pat" Wright founded Seattle's Total Experience Gospel Choir in 1973 at Franklin High School for the school's underserved Black students, according to Alexandra Yoon-Hendricks of the Seattle Times. "By the 1990s, adults began joining the choir as full members," writes Yoon-Hendricks, and "performed before President Bill Clinton, and appeared at numerous fundraisers, festivals and concerts. They performed at major venues like the Sydney Opera House and the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, sang in Nicaragua, Russia and the Bahamas, and provided aid and relief to victims of Hurricane Katrina and the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan."
