March 11th and 13th: Dance for Folklife!
On Thursday, March 11th at the Lake City Community Center the Lake City contra dancers danced the night away in a three-hour contra marathon. All funds raised by Lake City Contra after expenses were donated to Northwest Folklife. The following Saturday, March 13th, Northwest Folkdancers Incorporated (NFDI) hosted an international folkdance benefit for Northwest Folklife at the Cedar Valley Grange in Lynnwood. Allspice, Folk Voice Band, Orkestar RTW and La Famile Léger all pitched in special performances as participants of all ages took to the floor. All funds raised at this event were donated to Northwest Folklife!
